30 Day Movie Challenge
Day 01- The best movie you saw during the last year
2010 was full of some amazing films. There were some indie gems from the Bollywood and some blockbuster from Hollywood. If anyone has an imdb account and wants to add me just shoot me a message;we will talk films then.
For the Oscar and BAFTA we saw the battle rage between The Black Swan and The King's Speech. Both were brilliant films. To my displeasure I knew neither Inception nor The Social Network (even Shutter Island) would win. There can be only one winner so I made peace. Tangled and How To Train Your Dragon were the best in animated genre. Winter's Bone and True Grit also lost out in the race. Easy A and Flipped were absolutely marvelous.
Now I am struck by the eternal curse of indecision manifested in Geminis ever so often.
After a lot of deliberation I have decided to stick with Inception for
- It was a terrific film no doubt that kept me glued to the edge of the seat
- How fascinating is a world where you can actually get inside your mind and live in the world of perfection as long as you want?
- It was all about team effort
- The cast was fantastic from Leonardo DiCaprio, exceptionallyy beautiful and talented Marion Cotillard, Michael Cain, Cillian Murphy to Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Tom Brady
- The cinematography, the sound and visual effects were astounding
- It was a Nolan film. Need I say more?
- Because it was the underdog which couldn't win
- Because of the mind game factor
- Because we still don't know if Cobb made it back. We have our theories.
- Because I believe Cobb came back to his kids and that the top is not spinning anymore
I need to see this again!
